Electronic metal detectors

Elenco Treasure Hunter Metal Detector

The Elenco treasure Hunter metal detector can distinguish between ferrous and non-ferrous metals, such as iron or a woman. It features a tone indicator and five LED lights that will indicate the presence of metal and the intensity of the cycle. Sensor sensitivity is adjustable and there is an adjustment for non-metal discrimination.

One great thing about these metal detectors is that they come with a plug for connecting and earphone. This provides for silent operation when children are playing indoors, and prevents the beep of the detector from annoying adults that may be in the vicinity.

Parents should be advised that this item is not for children under three years, there are small parts that present a CHOKING HAZARD.

Bounty Hunter QD2GWP Quick Draw II Metal Detector with Pinpointer and Carry Bag

The Quick Draw II features auto and selective notch filters, which enable discrimination between different types of metals. This means that the detector can tell the difference between a quarter and a bottle cap, and can use the LCD digital display to relay this information to the operator. Discrimination provides a great advantage when working in areas with a lot of trash such as around picnic areas in parks where there may be a number of aluminum pull tabs buried. By adjusting the detector to ignore these items, the operator has the benefit of only being alerted to items that may be of value.

Bounty Hunter uses both an audible tone and a visual signal to alert the operator to buried objects that pass under the 8 inch search coil. There is a headphone jack that will allow the use of headphones when working in noisy areas, or in places where it might be better to make a little less noise.

Like much more expensive units, the Quick Draw II features an electronic touch pad control and LCD graphic display that make the unit easy to operate. The display reports the type of metal the object appears to be made of as well as the expected depth. While soil conditions can fool this technology on any metal detector, having the ability to sort this way is a lot better than not having it.

The single-piece aluminum shaft is lightweight, yet feels solid when swung.

Carry bag and electronic pinpointer are included in this package.

Bounty Hunter QSI Quick Silver Metal Detector

The BH QSI features automatic ground balance with BH’s Squelch-Tech technology. Ground balance is an important feature offered by better quality metal detectors. Natural conditions within all soils can throw off a metal detector by giving false signals when there is a high mineral content in the soil, or deadening actual signals that might otherwise indicate treasure. Ground balance allows the operator to adjust the metal detector’s circuitry to account for these differences in soil conditions. The problem is that soil conditions can change within a matter of feet and this can leave the operator readjusting the detector on a frequent basis. Bounty Hunter’s automatic adjustment means the operator can spend more time enjoying the hobby and less time turning knobs.

Audio feedback and a digital control panel with a 4-segment target identification allow the operator to pre-screen any finds prior to digging them.

This metal detector uses 2, 9 volt batteries which are easy to install, but are not included, so be sure to pick some up before your order arrives. The handle and shaft are made of aluminum and can be easily separated into shorter pieces for storage or transportation.
